In an in-depth interview with Industrial Control Network, Mr. Luo Hong provided a detailed explanation of Huamao Oute's brand philosophy, market positioning, and future plans, showcasing how a local enterprise can find its own unique path to development in a highly competitive market

Q1: As the founder of WELLAUTO, what kind of company is it? I'd like to hear how you interpret this brand?

A: The keyword "Huamao" in WELLAUTO comes from the phrase "just like young students, full of vigor and vitality," because our founding team are all university classmates. Its meaning is to constantly inspire our team to maintain enthusiasm, passion, and a spirit of striving for excellence. As an "engineering guy," building an independent brand has always been my personal dream. "WELLAUTO"—"to make good automation and make automation products that satisfy the market"—is our team's original aspiration and our goal

Q2: Huamao Auto has achieved remarkable results in the domestic market and has gained a very good reputation in the industry. Moreover, in the current industrial control environment, Huamao has been able to develop against the trend. How did Huamao achieve this?

A: "Creating value with you through craftsmanship" is our corporate philosophy. Based on our understanding of the industrial automation industry, from R&D and manufacturing to marketing, every team in our organization strives to deliver products and services with greater value to our customers, diligently practicing the "craftsman spirit." Meanwhile, our sales strategy is a channel service model. Through years of practice and development, we have fulfilled our commitments to our channel partners and thank them for their trust, which allows us to better serve our users in a localized and customized manner. This is the "secret" to Huamao's rapid and steady development

Q3: The domestic industrial control brand market is highly competitive, and there is also pressure from leading listed industrial control companies. How does Huamao Auto position itself and grow stronger?

A: In the face of the current environment, our development plan is to specialize and refine our expertise. Specifically, this means focusing on two key areas: first, providing intelligent manufacturing node solutions; and second, developing intelligent system product lines. We aim to pursue a differentiated and innovation-driven development path and become a small but excellent enterprise

Q4: As a leading manufacturer in the distributed I/O system segment, what are Huamao Auto's plans for future product iterations in response to the ever-changing industry demands?

A: The two positioning strategies I just mentioned actually correspond to the FA (Factory Automation) and PA (Power Actuator) markets, respectively. In the FA market, WELLAUTO already has a certain brand influence. Based on distributed I/O products, we have improved our products such as bus valve islands, I/O-link products, industrial RFID, and field actuator modules. Meanwhile, our redundant PLC systems, bus-type temperature controllers, ring network managed switches, and IoT products have led us into the PA market, creating a second growth curve for us

Q5: Given the current changes in the economic and industrial landscape, especially the current highly competitive environment, what development strategies and plans does the company have?

A: It is indeed very "cursed" as you said, but while we are actively developing our second growth curve in the domestic market, the company is also gradually "going global". For example, our IP20 and IP67 series products have passed the authoritative UL certification, which provides a good endorsement for our products to be recognized by overseas customers

Q6: With the support of Industry 4.0, AI technology, and IoT technology, how will Huamao Oute meet future challenges? Which market sectors do you see as having the best future prospects?

A: The future does indeed present very complex challenges. My personal understanding is that it will involve higher levels of digitalization and intelligence. This will also give rise to applications such as flexible manufacturing and intelligent unmanned factories. These application scenarios will bring more new market demands to automation manufacturers, such as production safety, equipment pre-maintenance management, manufacturing process data optimization, and product traceability. Huamao will accelerate its efforts to address these needs, and some of its products and technologies have already made good progress

Q7: What are the differences between foreign-invested enterprises and domestic enterprises in terms of management, products, and services? What advantages do domestic enterprises have in competing with foreign-invested enterprises?

A: Foreign companies, having started earlier, have accumulated rich experience and influence in globalization, and there are indeed many aspects of their scale and standardized management that are worth learning from. However, domestic companies also have their own unique advantages, particularly in their greater flexibility in quickly responding to customer needs and providing customized services. We are able to work closely with our customers to jointly develop new product lines tailored to their process requirements, meeting their ever-changing demands. Furthermore, localization is an inevitable trend, and in the future, as domestic brands gradually replace imported brands, they will occupy an increasingly important position in the market
